In practice since 1994, BakerBrown has a long-established history for delivering award-winning sustainable design in the built environment, and as a responsible practice we are committed to Net Zero in all our business operations. We support our practice with ongoing live research projects in the areas of deconstruction and re-use, and we actively engage in innovative pedagogic practices.
BakerBrown, as Architects and Circular Economy Consultants, has sustainable design at the core of their ethos, which is very valued by public and private clients. At the start of every project, BakerBrown focuses on approaches that will reduce both the embodied and operational carbon footprint.
BakerBrown projects are based on the low carbon ambitions outlined in the RIBA’s 2030 Climate Challenge and the Low Energy Transformation Initiative (LETI) benchmarks which far exceed current Building Regulation requirements. They are both holistic approaches that focus on retaining exiting buildings, reducing embodied carbon, and reducing operational carbon emissions.
