It all began in 2007, when Richard, our founder, discovered that the humble cacao bean – the thing that all chocolate is made from – was actually an incredible superfood. Richard’s original inspiration was (and still is!) to make a healthier chocolate bar that preserves the many nutrients found in cacao.
