Restaurant Beatrice (pronounced bee-AT-russ) is a contemporary Creole/Cajun concept that has garnered wide acclaim, including Finalist for “Best New Restaurant” in 2023 by the James Beard Foundation and Dallas Eater’s “Restaurant of the Year” in 2022. Restaurant Beatrice is a supporter of small, local farmers and fishers from the Gulf. Beatrice also works closely with its rancher, who raises pigs for the menu. Chef and Owner Michelle Carpenter was selected by Visit Dallas to be one of eight city ambassadors for the city’s new tourism campaign in Spring 2024. Restaurant Beatrice is the first and currently the only restaurant in Dallas to achieve Platinum Level Green Business Certification from the City of Dallas. Additionally, the restaurant pioneered the “Women in Restaurants Leadership Program” with Dallas College. The Beatrice mission is to deliver authentic Louisiana gastronomy and hospitality excellence in a setting where everyone knows they belong.
