YHA has been part of Australia’s travel story for over 85 years. As a for-purpose, membership-based organisation, we’re on a simple mission: to create an open, accommodating world where life flourishes. We help travellers explore Australia through safe, affordable, community-focused stays. From social city stays to coastal and nature escapes, our accommodation network is designed for connection, curiosity and growth. We believe travel should create positive change. We want to drive industry-wide change through embracing regenerative approaches that leave places better than we found them. Across 18 properties, we’re scaling sustainability programmes, cutting emissions and waste, on a path to net zero whilst making low-impact travel an everyday choice. When our guests experience nature, cultures and communities firsthand, perspectives shift and respect deepens. We proudly support the Uluru Statement from the Heart, are progressing our Reconciliation Action Plan and remove barriers for disadvantaged young people through our charity Travel to Learn. For us, B Corp certification is independent proof that a national travel network can lead the way toward better practices in travel in Australia.
